Local Pizza Places

Since I moved to Lake Hopatcong over two years ago I've been trying to find a good pizza place. I've tried almost every joint within a 15 minute radius of my house. Up until today I thought the best pizza was at Frank's on Howard Boulevard in Mt. Arlington. Today I tried Prima's Pizzeria off of Rt. 15 in Lake Hopatcong, next to the Jefferson Diner. I ordered two large pies, one with mushrooms and one with pepperoni, and both were excellent. Great crust and nice sauce. Almost all of the one topping pizza's are 13.50...which is about average for around here, but the taste will keep me coming back. I'm pretty pumped.

Isn't it amazing how something so simple as a pizza (crust, cheese, sauce, toppings) can be so good at one place and terrible at another? There is a place by my sisters house in Hamburg that is amazing!! (I just wish I lived closer so I could get it from there more often). I'll have to try Prima's!

I will agree it is hard to find a good pizza joint. I usually just go to Domino's because they have the 5-5-5 deal. Can't beat the price but the pizza is not the greatest. I will have to splurge sometime and try out Prima's Pizzeria.

Thanks Bill!

johnny's italian grill makes a nice pizza, problem is he's only opened 3 days a week and johnny is a little weird but not so bad.

I live locally; a resident of Mt. Arlington for many years. I have tried most of the pizza places in the area, and I have to comment on Bill's choice. Primas pizzeria is an excellent choice! Their traditional pizza is just like the old pizzas I grew up with. I love the thick chewy crust and the cheese. Their calzone is outstanding as well as their southwestern salad and their chixken parm. Cambiottis Pizza in Landing makes a great thin crust pizza but Primas is my first choice.

Enjoy! Mary
